Listed below are some of the many things to see and do on Skye, as well as information on day to day requirements, from boat trips and bicycle hire to restaurants and post offices.

Several boats operate from Elgol which is a short drive from Drinan Dun.

Shops and Post Offices:
The Elgol shop is the closest shop to Drinan Dun and provides a good selection of everyday items. It can be found on the left hand side as you descend the hill into Elgol. Opening Hours: Summer (April-September) weekdays 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-1.30pm, Sunday closed. Winter (October-March) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am-5pm, Saturday 10am-1.30pm, Sunday closed. It offers various postal and other services, including internet access. Tel: 01471 866329. There is also a post office in Broadford.

The Co-op in Broadford is the closest supermarket. It is connected to the 24-hour petrol station and offers a wide variety of consumables (*the Co-op is not open 24 hours).

Tourist Information:
There is a Scottish Tourist Information Centre in Broadford, just next to the service station.
